Creating a vibrant local organic food ecosystem
Welcome to the web window into Our Food Story.
You are very welcome here. Though to be honest, we would prefer to meet you in person at one or other of our many hubs … whether that be our community growing project, the market, within our box scheme coop or the dozens of other sites across the network.
Our Food Story is an emergent and decentralised initiative expressing itself across our local region. We call this region Grand Union Terra, which runs the 16 miles from Tring to Cassiobury and a few miles either side of the Grand Union canal.
Our shared intention is to tell into Being a new story about food and community in our region. A story that has Values not ‘value’ at its core. Values that include Care (for the planet, ourselves and each other), Integrity, Locality and Simplicity.
Our invitation is extended to all people (young and old, tall or small) to participate in a loosely coordinated re-wiring of our local food ecosystem into one that supports nourishment and wellbeing for all.
