Creating a Wholesome Food Community
At the end of 2023 our community was offered the opportunity to resuscitate a 1 acre growing plot outside Dagnall on the Leighton Buzzard Road. Already blessed with 100s of metres of raised beds, a ploy tunnel, a chicken shed, fruit bushes and other facilities, we jumped at it.
As of February 2024, we have regular work-parties meeting weekly on Friday and Saturday mornings. The plan is to cultivate an abundant crop of fruit and vegetables to be shared across the community. Our intention is for this project to become a model and inspiration for other such projects across our region.
